Billy Gene Brown, 48, of Belleville died Sunday, February 4, 2007, at his home. He was born November 16, 1958, in Danville. He had worked for Superior Graphite and was an Army Veteran.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Michelle Brown; step father, Don Miller and nephews Daniel and Brandon Briggs.
Survivors include his wife Vella Jean Brown; parents, William Bill Brown of Chickasha, OK and Stella Miller of Belleville; son Matthew Brown of Pace, FL; step daughters Amy Miller of Warsaw, MO and Kristina Longan of Belleville; sisters and brothers-in-law Linda and David Biggs of Barling and Teri and Ricky Kildow of Van Buren; a granddaughter and five step grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, February 8, 2007, at 2 p. m. at Shott Cemetery with Rev. Jeff Smith officiating. Military honors by Boyce Woods, VFW Post 3141. Pallbearers will be Bobby Nelms, Keith Smith, Troyce Bird, Ricky Kildow, David Biggs and Cleatus Nelms. Honorary pallbearers are Doyle Nelms and Dow Nelms. Visitation will be today, February 7, 2007, from 2 to 4 p. m. at Cornwell Funeral Home m Danville. Arrangements by Cornwell Funeral Home in Danville.
