CORAL G. BROWN
Coral 91 of Sanger, was born in Mountain Grove, Missouri, on November 30, 1916. She passed away in Sanger on Wednesday, November 19, 2008. Coral was the daughter of William and Saphrona Rothwell, who preceded her in death; as did her husband Murrell Brown; son, Ricky Brown; brother, William Rothwell; and close friend, Charles Butler who brightened her last years.
Coral met her husband, Murrell Brown while attending high school in Willow Springs, Missouri. They were married in 1934, and moved to Sanger in 1941.
Coral's family and friends will long remember being entertained by her piano playing. Coral was able to listen to a song and then sit down and play the song by ear. She never met a person she didn't like and was able to light up a room with her delightful personality.
She is survived by daughters, Sherra True and her husband Gerald of Clovis, and Mary Lynn Young and her husband Don of Fresno; son, Dean Brown and his wife Freda of Reedley; daughters, Karen Chilson of Sanger, and Kristy Easley and her husband Jim of Clovis; sister, Mary Powell and her husband Lowell of Fresno; brother, Delbert Rothwell of Sandy, Or.; 11 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
A Church Service was held at First Southern Baptist Church, 1116 'O' St. in Sanger on Monday, November 24, 2008, at 10:00 a.m., with interment at Sanger Cemetery. WALLIN'S Sanger Funeral Home 1524 9th Street Sanger, Ca.
