GREENWICH, UTAH- Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt, Beatrice Burr Brown, age 86, of Greenwich, died Sunday, March 10, 2002 in Mayfield, Utah.
She was born Feb. 4, 1916 in Burrville, Utah, a daughter of Wilford Poulson and Mabel Ethel Beutler Burr.
She graduated from Manti High School, class of 1934. She married Kenneth B. Brown, August 16, 1934 in Richfield, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple March 5, 1949. Kenneth died May 28, 1980.
Beatrice was very active in the LDS Church, serving for many years in the Primary and Relief Society in the Koosharem Ward. She drove the US Mail from Koosharem to Greenwich for over 25 years. She also was a tourist visitor guide at the Little Red School House in Greenwich.
Beatrice enjoyed the outdoors. She was a rattle snake hunter and a skunk trapper, and was the Grass Valley woodpecker shot champion. She enjoyed canning and bottling and doing embroidery work. She loved to have her children and grandchildren come to Greenwich to visit and stay.
She is survived by her four children: Arva Lee Bertelson of Axtell; LuDean and Lawrence Aldrich of Magna; Earl B. Brown of Centerfield; Mabel and Stephen Johnson of Palm Bay. Florida; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers: Merle Allen of Richfield; Jean Dunn of Baton Rouge, LA; Lyle and Wana Lu Burr of Burrville; Wallace (deceased) and Raymonde (Rae) Burr of Koosharem.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 15, 2002 at 1 p.m. in the Koosharem LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home, 260 North 400 West, in Richfield, Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and at the ward chapel in Koosharem, Friday from 11:00 to 12:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Koosharem Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
