This memorial is dedicated to my sixth great grandfather.
John was the son of Johannes and Catherine Braun.
He married Maria Barbara Crowl about 1780 in Berks County, Pennsylvania.
He was the father of: John Jacob,Christiana, Peter George, Elizabeth, Abraham, William,
Christian, Michael and Jacob
He served in Captain Conrad Shimer's company in the 6th battalion of Berks Militia. He served from August 10, 1778 to Sept 1780. He was in the battle of Brandywine.
