Martha Louise McFarland Brown, age 95 of Owensboro, died July 17, 2007, at Hermitage Care and Rehab Center. She was the daughter of the late Arthur Owen and Sarah Baker West McFarland, member of Lewis Lane Baptist Church in Owensboro, and a former teacher and artist.

She is survived by nieces and nephews: Dr. Patricia Bailey, Owensboro; Art and Lucy Moore, Danville; Bill and Christine Moore, Gilby, ND; and Nancy and Jim Loftin, Brooksville, Florida; and several other great nieces and nephews and cousins. She was preceeded in death by her husband, Willie Brown.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, July 20 at Haley-McGinnis Funeral Home. Rev. Paul Strahan and Rev. Mark Slaughter officiated.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 21 at Eminence Cemetery. Robert Moore officiated graveside services.
