Alberta Brown was the daughter of Johnny and Amtha Brown, born in Montgomery, Alabama. She graduated with top honors from Booker T. Washington High School and then moved to Detoir, Michigan, where she attended Lewis College of Business where she again graduated at the top of her class.
Alberta Brown, known as "Al," married Charles Love (who preceded her in death) in 1952. They had three children: Charles "Glenn" Love, Tamara Love and Marc "Mickey" Love.
Alberta was employed at Michigan Bell between 1969 and 1993.
She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church and enjoyed planting flowers, watching her soaps (which was a do not call time!) and Jackpot party "Casino." Alberta devoted her time to her precious grandkids which she always talked about.
In 2008, Alberta met Clint Eastwood during the filming of "Gran Torino."
After of long and courageous battle against illness, Alberta was called home on Christmas Day.
Alberta Love was survived by her two sons, daughter Tamara Love, three grandchildren, Tracie, Nicholas and Brittnay, four great-grandchildren: BreAnaShey, DeJahNique, Dorien and La'Niya; three special friends, Arlene, Mrs. Poole "Gee-Gee" and Carolyn.
