LIVINGSTON -- Funeral services for Joan Speck Brown, 63, of Livingston, will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 14, at First United Methodist Church.
Burial will follow in Overton County Memorial Gardens.
The body will lie in state from 9-10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 14, at the church.
Mrs. Brown died on Wednesday, Nov. 11, 1998, at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville.
She was born on Feb. 27, 1935, in Putnam County to Vera Hyder Speck of Livingston and the late Ira M. Speck. Mrs. Brown was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church and Eastern Star in Livingston.
In addition to her mother, her family also includes her husband, Grover C. Brown of Livingston; a son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Ira and Susan Sidwell of Nashville; two daughters, Lesa and David Parsons of Livingston and Joy and Jerry Beasley of Ooltewah; eight grandchildren; and two aunts, Lyda Speck of Livingston and Polly Parris of Columbia.
Pallbearers will be Harold Fletcher, Ralph Masters, Tim Pangle, Hoyet Matthews, Bill Speck, and Mike Parris.
Rev. Tom Halliburton will officiate at the services.
