Frederick was age seventeen when he went to Greeneville, Greene County, Tennessee with his father, in 1804. He wed Sarah Cole there on December 16, 1808. They had:
1) David on 14 November 1809
2) Mary Ann in 1810

In 1811, they moved to Harrison County, Indiana and had:
3) John on 6 December 1812
4) Daniel on 12 November 1814
5) Elizabeth in about 1817
6) Abraham in about 1821
7) Kate in about 1824

Sarah died between 1830 and 1839 and Frederick moved to Princeton, Gibson County, Indiana in about 1841. There he wed Elizabeth[Calvin] Cochran on January 25, 1842 and they had one child:
1) Maria L on 18 December 1842
