William Lewis Brown, Sr. A native of Mobile, AL. and a resident of Louisville, Kentucky for 31 years where he was a member of Greater Good Hope Church. He returned to Mobile and united with Nazaree Full Gospel Church. He exchanged life for eternity on Friday, March 26, 2010. William was a graduate of Central High School, class of 1970. He was a member of the marching 100 band.

He was preceded in his journey by his parents, LeDell and Bessie Brown; grandparents, Mozell and Ollie Brown; and grandmother, Velma Young. He leaves to cherish his memories a loving and devoted wife, Garry K. Brown; three sons, William (Shonda) Lewis Brown, Jr. of Louisville, KY., Wyland L. Brown of Mobile, AL. and Ian Cummings of Louisville, KY.; one daughter, Shaunada Plillips of Mobile, AL.; two stepchildren, Jessica Grant of Montgomery, AL. and J. Magic (Reagan) Hunter of Lathia Springs, GA.,; six grandchildren, Gerald and Quentin Hart of Mobile, AL., Sariah Gaston, Melik and Tariq Brown of Louisville, KY., Gabbi Hunter of Milwaukee, WI; four sisters, Ollie Brown Knight and LaTasha Brooks of Mobile, AL., Annie and Antoinette Brown of Sacramento, CA.; five brothers, Ledell Brown, Jr. of Sacramento, CA., Bobby Brown, Andy Brooks, Gregory McGadney, and Leonard McGadney all of Mobile, AL.; one aunt, Eva Young of Mobile, AL.; two sister-in-laws, Sharon Keith of Mobile, AL. and Lacy (Johnny) Johnson of Louisville, KY.; four brother-in-laws, Johnny, Malcolm, Joseph (Desira) and Vohn (LaTonya) Keith all of Mobile, AL.; three devoted nieces, Yanina Knight, Toyja (Greg) Williams, Coronda (Tim) Graham all of Mobile, AL.; one devoted nephew, Marshall (Angie) Knight of Mobile, AL. A host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.; three devoted friends, Larry Bedford, Cleve Cunningham and Stanley Haney all of Kentucky. The family would like to thank Springhill Home Health and Hospice Staff.

His remains will lie in state at Small's Mortuary on Friday, April 2, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, April 3, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral hour at the Nazaree Full Gospel Church, 1695 West I-65 Service Rd., Mobile, AL. Bishop Joseph D. Phillips, pastor and officiating minister. Interment will follow in the Gethsemane Cemetery, Mobile, AL.
