Kelly Jay Brown, son of Ellen Marie (Meyer) and Charles Eugene Brown was born June 30, 1963 in Sheldon, Iowa. Kelly lived in Sanborn, Iowa until moving to Creston in 1974. Kelly was diagnosed with Kearns Sayre Syndrome in 1979. He attended Creston Community Schools and graduated with the class of 1981 from Creston High School and worked at Charlie Brown Used Auto and Truck Parts from 1980-2006 as a bookkeeper.
Kelly was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, 1981 State Junior Bowling Championship Team, the Sandhill Chasers Bowling Team and the National Cyclone Club.
Kelly is survived by his mother Ellen Brown of Creston; five brothers: Terry (wife Judy) Brown of Lone Tree, Colo., Randy (wife Darla) Brown of Sanborn, Ia., Mike Brown of Aurora, Colo., Dennis (wife Joy) Brown of Shannon City, Ia. and Doug (wife Mary) Brown of Orient; a sister Lynn (husband Garry) Miller of Fontanelle, Ia., seven nieces, seven nephews, two step-nieces, a step-nephew, two great-nieces, one great-nephew, two step great-nieces and two step great-nephews.
Preceding him in death was his father Charles in 2005.
