| Birth: | Nov. 28, 1917 | | Death: | Feb. 2, 2009 |  Former Moccasin resident Carlton Lee Brown died Feb. 2 in a Modesto care home. He was 91.
Mr. Brown was served in World War II in the U.S. Navy, 4th Battalion Seabees. Following his service, he was employed with the City and County of San Francisco, Hetch Hetchy Water and Power in Moccasin. He retired after 28 years and moved to Modesto, where he lived for 30 years. He loved to travel and was very proud of the fact that he had visited every state in the country.
Mr. Brown is survived by his wife of 62 years, Teresa Brown; his son, Sam Brown; daughters Nora Acton and Julie Canfield; two grandsons; two granddaughters; and two great- grandsons.
