Bernell Brown passed away after a long battle with cancer.
He was preceded in death by his parents Harry Lee Brown, Sr. and Rosa S. Lee Johnson Brown; two brothers, Harry Lee Jr. and Charles Ray Sr.; and one sister, Betty Jean Quinn.
He is survived by his wife of six years, Ofelia Brown; and children from his first marriage to Marie Brown, Aaron Brown of Novato, Debra Smith of Elk Grove, and Camilla Caston of Lathrop; nine grandchildren; one sister, Mary Evelyn Powell of McComb; one aunt, Audrey Bonds, both of McComb, Mississippi; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held at Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church in Fresno on Thursday, September 14, 2006, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m.
A Funeral Service will be held at Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church, 384 E. Kaviland in Fresno on Friday, September 15, 2006, at 10:00 a.m.
He will be laid to rest with military honors at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Gustine, California on Monday, September 18, 2006, at 1:30 p.m.
