Aimee (Brousseau) Binette, 83, of Plainville, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on August, 21, 2010. She was the loving wife of Joseph Binette and together they shared 58 years of marriage. Born on May 28, 1927 in St. Camille, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Leon and Lydia (Couture) Brousseau. Aimee was born and raised in Canada coming here to U.S. in her late teens. She met and married the love of her life Joseph and together they started a family. Aimee was a hard working and dedicated employee for General Electric for 25 years until her retirement in 1988. She was an active member of the Guild of Our Lady and the choir at Our Lady of Mercy Church. She also enjoyed taking trips as a member of AARP retirement club and the Plainville Senior Center. Most important to her was her family. She was happiest surrounded by her grandchildren who were the lights of her life. She loved to entertain and spend time with friends while playing cards or just talking. If they couldn't come over, she'd be the first person to stop over and say hi. Aimee will be remember for her care and compassion for every life that she touched and she will be dearly missed by all those who knew her. Besides her beloved husband Joseph, she leaves her children Aline L. Giroux and her husband Maurice of Littleton, Colorado; Marc R. Binette and his wife Maria of Glastonbury; and Joyce Marie Wheaton and her husband David of Plainville; her grandchildren Alec and Colin Binette, Dillon and Jacob Wheaton and Jennifer O'Brien and her husband Sean; her great-grandchildren McKenna and Delaney O'Brien; her siblings Paul Brousseau of Florida; Robert Brousseau of Plainville; Germain Brousseau of Plainville; Camile Brousseau of New Britain; Clement Brousseau of Plainville; Ghislaine Donna of Plantsville along with several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her granddaughter Melissa Giroux and her siblings Gertrude Huot, Benoit Brousseau, Marie Caron, Ann Gaumond, Jeanne Brousseau, and Mike Brousseau.
Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Plainville.
