She graduated from East High School and the University of Utah. She studied music, was a trained opera singer, and was an elementary school teacher.
Nancy met and married Edward Brooks, moving to Idaho and eventually residing in San Jose, where she resided since 1966.
Her love of travel, cooking, and cultural activities took her around the world. Nancy enjoyed association with the African Violet Society and the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.
Loving mother of Karen Garr (Greg), Betsy DiBona (Lou) and Rich Brooks (Mary), adoring grandmother of Emily, Kristin, Sarah and James. Preceded in death by her husband and parents.
