Olive Branch - DOUGLAS FORD BROTHERTON, 78, retired security supervisor for the United States Postal Security Service, died Thursday, January 21, 2010 at Baptist Memorial Hospital - Memphis. Mr. Brotherton was born October 29, 1931 in Ripley, MS to the late William Douglas and Annie Brotherton. He attended First Baptist Church in Southaven, MS and retired from the Air Force after 20 years of service. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Lena Brotherton of Olive Branch; two daughters, Sherri Martin of Olive Branch and Cindi Ross and her husband, Ronnie of Batesville, MS; six grandchildren, Chris, Jonathan, Leigh Ann, Matthew, Michael, and Kelly; and five great grandchildren, Logan, Alyssa, Makynza, Hanna, and Luke. He was preceded in death by his young daughter, Patricia Nell Brotherton.
