He was a retired farmer.
He was a member of Grayville First United Methodist Church and the Albion Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He was a World War II veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Marcella (Knight); a son, Michael of San Antonio; a sister, Betty Ewing of Browns; a brother, Gerald of Bellmont; a grandson, Jon Broster; and two stepgrandchildren.
Services at Sturm Funeral Home Grayville Chapel, with burial in Browns Cemetery in Browns.
