Maidee Broome Vickers, 87, passed away Thursday, March 06, 2014. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Marty Watson will officiate. The family will meet friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association , 886 Mulberry Street, Macon, Georgia 31201.

Mrs. Vickers, wife of the late Johnny L. Vickers, was born in Macon Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Rufus P. Broome, Sr. and the late Lillian Shinholser Broome and the sister of the late Irene Broome Fiveash and the late Rufus P. Broome, Jr. She was retired as a bookkeeper with Cameron and Barkley Company. Mrs. Vickers was a longtime member of Avondale Baptist Church where she was a member of the Friendship Sunday School Class.

The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to all of Mrs. Vickers' caretakers at Porterfield Health and Rehab in Macon, and also the compassionate care she received from EverCare Hospice and Palliative Care.

Snow's Memorial Chapel Funeral and Cremation Services, Pio Nono Avenue has charge of arrangements.
