Mrs. Mary Lois Brooks Asberry, passed away August 31, 2011 at her home in Monroeville. Mrs. Asberry had worked as a sales clerk in retail sales. She had lived in Monroeville for several years and was a former resident of Jackson, Mississippi. Mrs. Asberry is preceded in death by her daughters, Linda Asberry and Brenda Weaver.

Survivors include her son Billy Asberry of Texarkana, Arkansas; her sisters, Polly Reed of Chickasaw and Brenda Coleman of Mobile;sister-in-law: Annie Cobb of Monroeville; nine grandchildren, Crystal Fox, DeAnne Martin, Robin Howard, Jessica Skinner, William McQuire, Buddy Weaver, Roger Weaver, Adam Asberry and Emily Asberry and 10 great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Asberry will be Saturday, September 3, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Monroe Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Excel Cemetery. Visitation for Mrs. Asberry will be Saturday, September 3rd from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
