Christine Bingham Brooks, 86, died Tuesday, December 16, 2003, at Baptist West Hospital in Knoxville, Tenn. She was born January 17, 1916, in Tishmingo County, Miss, where she lived until moving to Baldwyn, Miss in the 1930's. She owned and operated Chris' Cafe from the end of World War II until 1974. She was a Member of the First Baptist Church of Baldwyn; and an Eastern Star Member.

Graveside services were held at the Baldwyn Masonic Cemetery with Bro. Neil Davis officiating. Waters Funeral Home of Baldwyn was in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include her Daughter, Ginny Brooks Hall of Knoxville; a Son, Dr. George Brooks of Knoxville; Grand Children, Drew Carter and Tyler Brooks, both of Knoxville; a Daughter In Law, Kathy Brooks of Knoxville; a Nephew, Jim Nanney and Wife, Joy, of Corinth; a Brother In Law, James Nanney of Baldwyn; a Grandnephew, Chip Nanney of Franklin, Tenn; and a Grandniece, Carmen Nanney of Birmingham, Alabama.
She was preceded in death by her Husband, John Brooks, in 1975.
