Albert Brooks, Sr.
Albert Brooks,61, died Wednesday, July 10, 1985 in Shannon. He was a member of the Black Oak M. B. Church, a former employee of Mid-South Packers, a veteran of World War II, and sang with the original Crowns of Harmony.
Services be be at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 14 at the Black Oak M. B.Church with the Rev. H. B. Anderson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Beasley and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his wife Annie Mae Brooks of Shannon; three daughters, Delores Fields of Shannon, Glorius Reed of Verona, and Margaret Carouthers of Okolona; four sons, Albert Brooks, Jr., Ronald Brooks, Willie Ray Brooks, and Russell Brooks, of Shannon; three sisters Cora Jones of Los Angeles, Calif., Bula Hayes and Artie Green both of St. Louis Mo.; 15 grandchildren.
