Anna Brooks Brank, Henderson, departed from this life at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2006, at her home after a long illness.
Anna Brooks Brank was born in Henderson on April 19, 1926, to the union of Neal and Lizzie Taylor Brooks. She joined First Missionary Baptist Ch-urch at an early age and was a faithful member who served on the Senior Usher Board until her health began to decline.
She was a beautiful, kind, giving, gentle, caring, and soft spoken mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She worked for a number of years at Tri-State Plastic Molding Company in Henderson. She was also a domestic worker for many years and was entrusted to help take care of many families and homes in Henderson. She will be deeply missed by those who knew her and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hence F. Brank Sr., whom she was married to for 49 years.
She leaves to cherish her memory a loving and devoted daughter, Anna Brank Cole and her husband, James Cole Sr., of Henderson; a loving son, Hence Brank Jr.; a loving sister, Pauline Brooks of Henderson; special family friends, Pat Hughes and Gary Hallmark; 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins; a host of sorrowing friends.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at First Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Robert Esters will officiate. Burial will be at Fernwood Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at the church.
Mason Bros. Audubon Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
