Deceased was born in York Township in the house where she died. On Sept. 20, 1879, she was united in marriage with Frank E. Brooks, who, with two sons, Lee and Paul, mourn the loss of a wife and mother. She had been in ill health for several months with consumption of the bowels, but not considered seriously ill, hence her death was quite unexpected.
She was a faithful member of the Christian church at Metz. Funeral services were conducted by Elder E. A. Cole, of Angola; burial in the Powers cemetery.
