MRS. JACK BROOKS

Mrs. Jack (Clara) Brooks, 69, of 1410 Elk St., a Rock Springs native, died Monday morning at Sweetwater County Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient for the past six weeks.

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the First Congregational Church, Rock Springs. Interment was in Mountain View Cemetery.

Mrs. Brooks was born in Rock Springs Jan. 8, 1899, the daughter of the late Charles W. and Amelia Thompson Crofts.

She was married to Jack Brooks in the First Congregational Church, Rock Springs, Jan. 20, 1945.

Mrs. Brooks had resided in Rock Springs all her life except for eight years from 1952-60 when she lived in Jackson.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Harry, Myric and Clyde Crofts and one sister, Charlene Crofts.

Surviving in addition to her husband, are two aunts, Mrs. Louis Stevens, Portland, Ore., and Mrs. Nellie Hood, Trinidad, Colo.; her sister-in-law, Mrs. Florence Crofts, Rock Springs, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pallbearers were Ed Taylor, Wilfred and Ed Bowker, James Stark, and Donald and David McIntosh.
