Services for Charles B Brooks, 93, who died Monday, Nov. 19, 1956, at the home of his daughter, Mrs Roy Welsh, will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon from the Van Natta Funeral Home with Rev H. L. Michael, minister of the Federated Church, officiating. Burial will be in Ohio Grove Cemetery.
Brooks was born in County Donegal, Ireland on December 17, 1862, the son of Samuel and Mary Blackburn Brooks.
He came to the United States when he was 21, settling in the Sycamore community and later in the Ohio Grove community, retiring from farming about 15 years ago.
He married Sarah McConn on November 20, 1894. She died nine years ago.
Surviving are two daughters [Alice Brooks Dettmer & Blanche Brooks Welsh].
