Mr. Ben (Jim) Brooks, age 81 of Jasper, passed away at his residence on Sunday, May 16, 2010.

Survivors include his Wife: Jewell Brooks of Jasper; Son and Daughter-In-Law: Danny and Kay Brooks of Chattanooga, TN; Daughter: Joan Stone of Chattanooga, TN; Brothers and Sister-In-Law: Gene and Kristine Brooks of Jasper and Ernest Brooks of Canton; Sisters: Marie Fountain and Opalene Parton, both of Canton, Ilene Rogers, Lemmer Graves and Ethel Norton; 4 Grandchildren, 4 Great-Grandchildren and several Nieces and Nephews. Mr. Brooks was preceded in death by a Son: Johnny Brooks.
