MACON - Lillie Ruth Webb Brooks, 73, died Jan. 15, 2007, at Riley Memorial Hospital in Meridian. Services are Saturday at 10 a.m. at Millers Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Nathaniel Houston officiating. Burial will follow at Oddfellow Cemetery in Macon. Visitation is today from noon to 5 p.m. at Lee-Sykes Funeral Home of Macon. Ms. Brooks was born Aug. 18, 1933, in Noxubee County to the late Enoc and Mandy Dantzler Webb. She worked as a cook throughout the community and was employed by Noxubee General Hospital and Junior Food Mart and worked in a cleaner's service. She was a member of Millers Chapel Baptist Church in Macon. She is survived by her sons, Will Brooks of Elgin, Ill., and Douglas and Clyde Brooks, both of Macon; daughters, Nancy Beck of Macon, Lula Ballard of Belvedere, Ill., Annie Ruth Brooks of Naperville, Ill., and Barbara Brooks of Elgin; sister, Amanda Walker of Arkansas; brothers, Sylvester Webb of Macon and Roosvelt Webb of St. Louis; 17 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Edward Allen, Earl and Willie Earl Grissom, Kenyarda McNeese, Willie Pippins and Travis Maxwell.
