Married Charles E. Brooks, 5 Mar, 1879.

She was a dress-maker, who helped her husband with the necessary sewing when he started the Brooks Appliance Co., which made hernia rupture belts, a very useful medical device back in the days of farming. When she became a widow, she contributed generously to a fund to erect a new Methodist church in Marshall in memory of her husband. She also contributed to many schools and colleges, as well as assisting in the education of many young people.
