"Bronson was born Feb 23, 1910, in Greenfield, MO to Wilmer and Lula Bronson. One of seven sons., Bronson was raised and attended school in Greenfield, where he attended Greenfield Teachers College.
"He later served in the Philippines with the Army. Following his discharge from active duty, Bronson settled in Durham, and on June 18, 1936, he married Clara Cole.
"Bronson worked at a grocery store in Durham and later for the Diamond Match Co. He was then employed for 24 years at Chico State University as a boiler engineer.
"He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Clara of Chico; two sons, Jerry of Redding and Ronald of Yuba City; and four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
"Visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Entombment will take place at Chico Memorial Mausoleum. Memorial contributions may be made to the Nazarene Church Missionary Fund in care of the funeral home."
