Mrs. Amanda Broker, mee Helmoldt, was born June 14, 1888. She was confirmed by Rev. Wolf at St. John's church, March 23, 1902 and seven years later, March 7, 1909, married Mr. Fred Broker. To this union two children were born. She died Jan 23rd after a short illness of influenza-pneumonia. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Plassmann. Interment at St. John's cemetery. The floral pieces were beautiful and numerous. She leaves to mourn the loss of a fond and good mother, her two children, Emmeth age 10 and Lucinda age 6, her husband, Fred Broker, 4 brothers, Henry, Fred, Dick, and Wm., besides many other relatives and friends. Her parents preceded her to the home beyond many years ago.

Mr. Broker wishes to express his sincere thanks and gratitude to the neighbors and friends for their kindness and sympathy shown him in his recent bereavement and especially did he appreciate the inspiring song sung by St. John's choir.
