Mrs. Laura Brogden Allison, 73, of Prairie Ave., Providence, who was a resident of Newport for over 30 years, died Tuesday in Cranston after a short illness. She was the widow of Herman Allison of New London, Conn.
Mrs. Allison was a Rogers High School graduate. She had made her home in Providence after moving there from New London several years ago.
She was born in Newport, Dec. 4, 1901, the daughter of George W. and Lena Smith Brogden.
Surviving are her son, by a previous marriage, George A. Younger, Jr. of Cherry Hill, N.J.; two granddaughters of Knollwood, N.J.; a niece and a nephew; six grandnieces; and several cousins in Newport.
A service will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. in the Bell Funeral Home in Providence.

Laura was a descendant of Isaac Franc Church, 1786-1886 considered one of the last of the full-blood Manisseans.
