md on the 2nd of July 1913 James Montgomery Anderson, b. 2 September 1887 – d. 8 September 1965.

Mrs. James Montgomery Anderson died Tuesday at her home on N. Jefferson Ave., after an illness of several weeks.

Funeral services were today at the Collegeside Church of Christ of which she was a member. The minister Thomas Cook officiated and burial was in the Cookeville City Cemetery.

Mrs. Anderson, the former Mary Jane Brock, was a daughter of Dr. W. R. and Mary Saylors Brock of White County. She was a member of pioneer families and received her education in the Sparta schools.

She spent the greater part of her married life in Cookeville. Mrs. Anderson was a great lover of flowers and was noted for her culinary arts. She was a member of the Sewing and Garden Club, the Old Walton Road DAR Chapter and Cookeville Music Club.

Survivors are her husband; 2 sons, James Anderson, Chattanooga, William Anderson, Cookeville, daughter, Mrs. Fred Human, Jr., Knoxville, and 3 sisters, Mrs. Mamie Sorrell of Sparta, who presently resides at the Anderson home, Mrs. Thomas B. Miller, Sparta, Mrs. M. N. Snodderly, Knoxville; 3 brothers, Bryan Brock, Akron, OH, C. L. Brock, Chattanooga & John Edward Brock, Leesburg, VA; 6 grandchildren, James, Carolyn & John Anderson, Chattanooga, Fred III, Bill, and Jim Human of Knoxville.
