MRS. NORMAN MONROE (VERNIE ESTHER) BROCIOUS
Mrs. Norman Monroe (Vernie Esther) Brocious, 86, of Worthington, died at 12:35 p.m. yesterday at Armsdale Home and Hospital, Kittanning RD 5.
Mrs. Brocious, a homemaker, was a member of the Craigsville United Methodist Church.
Born April 8, 1888, in Clarion Couonty, she was the daughter of John and Annie (Bish) Young. Survivors include four sons, Clifford of Natrona Heights, Ferman of Kittanning RD 4, Gerald of Kittanning RD 7, and Darl of Worthington; six daughters, Mrs. Virginia Plawney of New Bethlehem, Mrs. Annie Litz of Girard, Ohio, Mrs. Jack (Twila) Stitt of Hawthorn, Mrs. Harold (Phyllis) Croyle of Conneaut, and Mrs. Georg (Vernie) Snyder of Kittanning; a brother Milo Young of Distant, a sister, Mrs Elsie Smail of Fairmount City; 38 grandchildren; and 51 Great-grandchildren.
Her husband died in 1933.
Brocious-Friends of Mrs. Norman Monroe (Vernie Esther) Brocious, who died March 4 1975, are being received after 7 this evening at the J.R. Kennedy Funeral Home Kittanning. Service will be 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with her pastor, the Rev. John F. Osborne, officiating. Burial will be in Shannondale Cemetery, Clarion County. Arrangements by Kennedy.

Note: Obituary was in the leader Times, march 5, 1975, Wednesday, Pg. 14. Child Virginia Plawney should be spelled Plauny.
