CROSBYTON (Special) - Services for Doral Brixey, 71, of Crosbyton will be at 2 p.m. Friday in First Baptist Church with Lester Griffin, pastor, officiating. Larry Yowell will assist. Burial will be in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.

She was born Oct. 17, 1927, in Crosbyton, Texas, and died on Feb. 10, 1999, in Crosbyton, Texas. She married Jack Brixey on March 21, 1944, in Crosbyton.

She was a member of Crosbyton First Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher. She was a florist, and she worked in several flower shops. She opened Doral's Flower Shop in 1982, and she retired in 1996.

She attended Big Four and Crosbyton schools. She and her husband lived and farmed in the Big Four community until 1963, when they moved to Crosbyton.

Two sons, Dennis Jack and Buddy, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Kenneth Ray of Coleman; a daughter, Shirley Judean "Judy" McCurdy of Lubbock; a sister, Quita Powell of Ralls; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
