GORMAN- Slina Katherine Brixey, 76, of Gorman, Texas died Wednesday, November 6, 2002 at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene. Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, November 8, 2002 at Murray Cemetery near Carbon, Gene Brian officiated. Mrs. Brixey was born November 13, 1925 in Tulia, Texas to William Edgar Ham and Mary Laier Ham. She married Archie R. Brixey on September 24, 1945 in Dallas. She was a retired bookkeeper of the Texas State Bank & Trust in Dallas. She was a homemaker and one of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Earl Ham. Survivors are her husband, Archie R. Brixey of Gorman; one son, Paul W. Brixey of Fort Worth; three daughters, Becky Villarreal of Arlington, Kathy Coffey of Hillsboro, and Jannet Smith of Fort Worth; three brothers, R.C. Ham of Odessa, Carlton Ham of Canton and Jearl Ham of Cooper; one sister, Helen Ray of Carrollton; 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
