Alta Riley Britt, 96, of Pensacola, died Thursday, July 31, 2014.
Mrs. Britt was born October 13, 1917 in Geneva, Alabama to Redden Riley and Ina Duncan Riley. She was a life time resident of Pensacola and a member of Beach Haven Baptist Church. Mrs. Britt was an avid gardener and loved cooking for her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Britt; daughter, Deann Preston; her parents, one brother and one sister.
Survivors include her son, James Britt and wife Sandra; daughters, Sara B. Lambert and Malinda B. Mazzagotte; brother, Kenneth Riley; sister, Lucille Cornish; nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and a large extended family.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 03, 2014 at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Covenant Hospice, 5041 N. 12th Ave., Pensacola, FL 32504.
