Final rites for Mrs. Lula Allen Allgood, 69, of route one, Brookhaven, were held at 3 p.m. November 13 from the Macedonia Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Bishop and Rev. Bob Walker officiating. Interment was in Macedonia Cemetery with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Allgood, who had been in ill health for the past four years, died at her home November 12. She was born and reared in Lincoln County and was a member of the Baptist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Virgil E. Smith of route one; two sons, Nolan of route one, and Marvin of route three; four sisters, Mrs. R. E. Pennington of Brookhaven, Mrs. M. C. Durr of route three, Mrs. Gene Smith of route five, Mrs. Wilmer Smith of Shreveport, La.; three brothers, Olian Britt of Brookhaven, Troy Britt of route one, and Otis Britt of Jackson. She also leaves four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
