Bonnie Briscoe of Burlingame, Calif., and formerly of Springfield died Oct. 31 of leukemia. She was 71.
Mrs. Briscoe was born Sept. 7, 1933, in South Dakota to Edward and Gladys Scott. She later moved to Springfield, graduating from Springfield High School in 1950. She worked at Gerlach's Drugstore in Springfield for many years.
She moved to Burlingame, Calif., in 1959. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her dogs, and gardening. Her family said she will be remembered for her grace, beauty and sense of humor.
Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Duke Briscoe; a daughter, Sarah Briscoe of San Francisco; her mother, Gladys Scott of Eugene; and a sister, Lois Freeman of Eugene.
At her request, her ashes were scattered at sea in a private celebration of her life. The Neptune Society of Belmont, Calif., was in charge of arrangements.
Cremated, Ashes scattered at sea.
