James Edward Briscoe & Dorothy Vosti-Briscoe,, residents of San Jose. Jim, age 86 born in Rockport, Indiana on 1/26/1925, to parents Sallie and Edward Briscoe, died 4/1/2011. Dorothy Mary Vosti - Briscoe, age 87, born in Gonzales, Ca. on 12/27/1923, to parents Philomena & Federico Vosti, died 4/2/ 2011. Jim & Dorothy were Married for 62 years, they were a loving & devoted couple who touched many peoples lives. Jim graduated from Indiana State, taught & coached for 35 years in Gonzales & San Jose Unified School Districts and started the Head Start Program. Dorothy graduated from Healds Business College, served as PTA president, was a Camp Fire Girls leader and member of PACT (People Acting in Communities Together). They are survived by their six children James (Ann) Briscoe, Kathleen Briscoe-Gilbert, Alan (Tina) Briscoe, Stefanie (Robin Blakley) Briscoe, Barbara Briscoe, Scott Briscoe and two grandsons Ryan & Marc Briscoe. Public viewing for Jim & Dorothy will be held from 5-7pm and a Rosary at 7pm on 4/8 at Lima Mortuary, 710 Willow St. San Jose. Services will be held at 10am on 4/9, Transfiguration Church, 4325 Jarvis Ave San Jose. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Alzheimer's & American Lung Associations or your favorite charity.
