The following obituary was published by the "Deseret News" on July 16, 2006:
"Mignon Torkeldsen Brinton 1913 ~ 2006 Mignon Torkeldsen Brinton, 93, passed away July 13, 2006. Mom was a gentle person, gifted in writing poetry and music. She played the organ at church and drove her car till she was 88. After her husband, Norman Jensen Astle died, she married Elias Lemon Brinton. Together they continued church service and served a mission in the Washington DC Temple. Mom will be remembered for her integrity and her strong testimony of Jesus Christ and the plan of salvation. To her great grandchildren, she will be remembered as GG. I love you Mom. She is preceded in death by her husbands; a son, Ross Norman Castleton; a daughter, Lynn Astle Holfeltz; a sister, Fay Torkeldsen McQuarrie. She is survived by her daughter, Norma Brianna Astle; 12 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren from her marriage to Norman; 12 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchil-dren, and one great great-grand child from her marriage to Lyle. Graveside services will be held Friday, July 21st, 3 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 South Highland Drive."
