ROLFE--Mrs. Caroline Olerich, 94, died at Sunset Hill Manor here early Sunday morning. She had been in failing health for a year and had been a resident of the nursing home since Dec. 16, 1969.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Rolfe Presbyterian Church with burial in Clinton-Garfield Cemetery. Friends may call at the Powers-Turner Funeral Home after 1 p.m. Tuesday.
Surviving are four sons, Orvan B. and Ellwood, both of Rolfe; Eldon, Cedar Rapids; Bryon, Atherton, Calif.; two daughter, Mrs. Victor Martins, Laguna Hills, Calif.; Mrs. Islea Hope Arcadia, Calif.; 17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; a brother, Dr. W.F. Brinkman, Pocahontas; four sisters, Mrs. Anna Vaughn, Rolfe; Mrs. Jessie Wellstead, Ottumwa; Mrs. Mary Caffery, Apple Valley, Calif., and Mrs. Idella Freeman, San Bernadino, Calif.
Caroline Brinkman was born at Rolfe and attended rural schools of the area. She taught in rural schools and she married Henry F. Olerich in 1899 at Rolfe. They farmed until 1949 when they moved into town. Mr. Olerich died in 1952.
