Gerald L. Brinker, 65, of Imlay City, passed away Sunday, January 3, 2010 at his home.
He was born September 16, 1944 in Imlay City, a son of Anthony and Margaret (Weingartz) Brinker. He grew up in the Imlay City area and he lived most all of his life in the area. He was a graduate of the class of 1962 from Imlay City High School.
He was married to Nancy Lee Hintz on January 29, 1966 in Imlay City.
Gerald had worked for Dick Hinterman Ford in Imlay City, the McDonald's Dairy in Flint, and recently retired from Thompson Oil in Pontiac in 2006. He had been a Diesel Engine Technician for 21 years. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Imlay City.
Gerald enjoyed bowling, golfing and woodworking in his shop.
Surviving are his wife, Nancy Brinker of Imlay City; son, Douglas (Ronette) Brinker of Allenton; daughters, Marianne Brinker of Rochester Hills and Michele Brinker of Rochester Hills; sister, Alice (Herb) Boulan of Dryden; and three grandchildren, Lucas, Owen and Sidni. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Margaret Brinker and by brothers, Thomas and Harold.
A Memorial Service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, January 9, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Imlay City. The Reverend Fr. Ezequiel Mondragon and the Reverend Fr. Christopher Ankley will officiate.
Funeral arrangements were made by Muir Brothers Funeral Home in Imlay City.
