Deseret News, Saturday, March 28 1998, Internet Edition. Obituary: Merelyn Bringhurst Clark, our mother just 65 years young, passed away March 25, 1998 after a three year battle with breast cancer. She was born October 1, 1932 in Toquerville, Utah, to Samuel and Erma Stout Bringhurst. Married Reed Bevan Bradshaw September 12, 1951 in the St. George LDS Temple; he preceded her in death August 12, 1955. Married James Thomas Clark November 2, 1957 in Cedar City, Utah; he preceded her in death September 19, 1987. She was a loving sister, mother, grandma and great-grandma who loved life, her home, inside and out, and time with her grandchildren and family whether it was at the ballpark or in the back yard for a family barbeque. Member of the LDS Church where she served as a den leader, Primary president, sang in the ward choir and other callings.

Survived by children, Merlinda Bradshaw, West Valley City; R. Bryce (Carey) Bradshaw, West Jordan; James E. (Carol) Clark, Salt Lake City; Colleen (Dave) Bird, West Valley City; Annette Riggs, Columbia, Missouri; 19 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Dr. Deon (Lila) Bringhurst, Fremont, California; sisters, Lorna (Lee) Cox, Springville; Sandra (David) Boyce, Holladay; Karen (Glenn) Stratton, Hurricane. Special thanks to the University of Utah Medical Center for all their loving work. Funeral services will be held Monday, 10 a.m. at West Valley 1st Ward, 3270 West 3650 South. Friends may call Sunday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Monday at the church one hour prior to services. Graveside services will be held 4 p.m. at the Cedar City Cemetery, Cedar City, Utah.
