Last rights were at Welin Chapel and Midway Tabernacle with interment at Oakwood Cemetery.
Funeral rites for the late Mrs. Carl Bring, one of Moingona's oldest resident, who passed from this life April 16th at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Arnold Liden, 1520 Seventh street, were held Thursday, April 18th at the Welin chapel at 1 o'clock and at 2 o'clock at the Midway Tabernacle. The Rev. F. O. Abraham, pastor of the Swedish Lutheran church at Pilot Mound was in charge assisted by the Rev. Wm. Werkhouser, Midway pastor.
Those that served as pallbearers were: two sons, Fred and Eric, two grandchildren, Deward Bring and Denise Hughes and two sons-in-law, Arnold Liden and Oscar Lantz. The flowers were in charge of Misses Nellie Seversike, Nina Knudson and Laura Swessinger.
Music was furnished by two duets one in Swedish by the Rev. and Mrs. Abraham. The other duet was made up of Mrs. Wm. and Miss Lydia Werkhauser who sang "Face to Face: and "Sometime We'll Understand." Olga Leitch played the accompaniments.
Interment was made in the Oakwood cemetery at Moingona. The following obituary sketch was prepared by the loving ones who are bereaved.
Mrs. Anna Matilda Bring was born January 9, 1856 in Hegebo Ostergotland, Sweden. She was united in marriage to Carl John Bring December 22, 1878, and came to America in 1884, settling in Moingona, IA. She remained at that place unit she was called home April 16, 1929, at the age of 73 years, 3 months and 7 days. Eight children were born to this union, two of which returned to God in infancy. A devoted husband misses the companion of over half a century and looks for the meeting in the skies to part no more.
Two sons and four daughters are mourning with the father. Fred and Eric Bring of Des Moines and Moingona respectively. Miss Emma Bring of Omaha, Mrs. Alma Hughes of, Mrs Arnold Liden and Mrs. Oscar Lantz, all of Boone.
Completing this family are seven grandchildren and two brothers, Charles and Gustav Ford of this city. Mrs. Bring was converted in 1892 and united with the Swedish Mission church of which she was member until her departure.
