CARLISLE Mae Brindle Berg, 96, a resident of the Twin Rivers Nursing Center, New Bern, N.C., and formerly of Carlisle, died Monday at the center.
She had been employed at the Molly Pitcher Hotel as the dining room hostess and responsible for the kitchen; had owned and operated a bakery at Louther and Hanover streets; owned and operated Berg's Clothing Store with her late husband; and was a member of First United Church of Christ.
She was the widow of Bertram H. Berg. Surviving are a son, Bertram Jr. of New Jersey; a daughter, L. Jean Spagnolo of New Bern; a brother, David Brindle of Carlisle; and two sisters, Maud Sunday and Ruth Brindle, both of Carlisle.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Westminster Memorial Gardens, North Middleton Twp.
