Glennis B. Norton, 86, of Farmington passed away peacefully Thursday, Oct. 28, 2010 at Franklin Memorial Hospital after suffering a heart attack on Sunday. She was born April 29, 1924 in Coplin Plantation the daughter of Kenneth I. and Margaret L. (Potter) Brimigion. She attended grade school in Stratton and graduated from Averill High School in June 1942. Glennis worked at Pratt & Whitney in E. Hartford, Conn. and returned to Maine in 1944. She also worked at Bass Shoe in Wilton and Farmington Shoe along with many other places of employment. In 1946 Glennis married Kenneth A. Norton in West Farmington. They raised their family on the Holly Road where they resided for the next 60 years. Kenneth passed away on Sept. 28, 2006.
Glennis is survived by Dennis and Margaret Norton and family of Brazoria, Texas; Clifton and Evie Norton and family of Farmington, Maine; Duane and Cindy Norton and Family of Farmington, Maine; Donalyn Norton and family of Port Richey, Florida; her brother Palmer Brimigion and wife Arlene of Wilton, Maine; a half sister Sharyn Peabody and family or The Forks, Maine; 15 Grandchildren; 14 Great Grandchildren; 2 Great Great Grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
