Lois Brim Barrus
Lois Brim Barrus passed away after a brief illness in Tooele on Monday, July 4, 2011, at the age of 91 from natural causes.
A native of Grantsville, Lois was married to the late H. Wesley Barrus, also of Grantsville. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.
She is survived by her daughter and two sons: Diane Anderson (Jay), and sons, Lowell (Monika) and Owen (Sherry). She leaves behind 10 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
Lois will be remembered by all who knew her, for her generosity, excellent cooking, great faith, and dedication to her family. She will be missed by her family and friends and the reunion with her eternal sweetheart, Wes, was something she had earnestly anticipated for several years. She unselfishly cared for her husband for seven years prior to his death and never complained about the service that she rendered. She loved her family and no birthday was ever missed without a card and money to celebrate the birthdays of her posterity.
It is with much gratitude and appreciation that we thank all those who have blessed her life with their friendship and to those who visited and provided assistance to her during the later years of her life we cannot find adequate words to express our thanks.
Her immediate family and several close friends had a special memorial service on Saturday, July 9 honoring her. She was then interred at the Grantsville City Cemetery.
