Annie Beatrice Brierton was born in Nelson township, Lee county, on April 8, 1889. She was the daughter of Albert and Ella Brierton.
She was married on Dec. 26, 1907 to Amos F. Eberly and to this union were born two daughters: Bertha Elizabeth, who preceded her in death on Oct. 28, 1921, and Mrs. Clarence (Alice) Myers [sic-MEYERS], of Dixon, who, with her father, mourns the sudden passing of her mother. Other survivors include her mother, Mrs. Ella Brierton; two brothers, Richard O. and Sylvester Brierton; and one sister, Mrs. Ray Shaver.
The funeral service was held in the Melvin funeral home of Dixon on Saturday, Sept. 15th, in charge of the Rev. Geo. D. Nielsen, pastor of the Grace Evangelical church of Dixon. Mrs. R. Herbert soprano soloist, sang and played "The Old Rugged Cross: and "The Lord is My Shepherd." Interment was at Oakwood cemetery, Dixon."
