Mrs. Agnes Allert Dies in Hamon Rites
Word has been received here of the death of Mrs. Agnes Allert, 87, mother of A.G. Allert, A.A. Allert of Gonzales, and R.L. Allert of Shiner. She passed away this morning at Hamon. She also leaves two daughters Mrs. John Nelson and Mrs. Raymond Mercer; grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Allert was born in Fayette county in August 1868. She and her husband moved to the Hamon community in 1909 where he operated a gin for many years. He passed away in 1947. One son, W.S. Allert, and one daughter, Mrs. Gene O'Bart preceded her in death within the past five years.
