Born in Eureka, Illinois on April 21, 1928, Barbara was the youngest of 13 children born to Jake and Elizabeth Flinner. She married Albert Bricker on Jan. 15, 1946, in Peoria. He preceded her in death on May 16, 1988, in Peoria.
Also preceding her in death were two sons, Richard L. Bricker and William L. Bricker Sr.; one daughter, Donna Pye; one grandson; and one great-grandson.
Barbara is survived by Tracy (Ron) Lambert of Galesburg, Mary (Eron) Lawver of Indianapolis, Ind., William Bricker Jr. of Galva, Tricia (fiance, Kenneth Fussner) Hightower of Elmwood, Dolly (Alan) Diefendorf of Elmwood, Amanda Bricker of Galva, Vivian Meadows of Green Valley, Becki Dalrymple of LaFayette and Jodi (Jim) Stotler of Bradford; 17 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Barbara worked in housekeeping at various Peoria hotels. She enjoyed fishing, bingo, shopping and her grandkids.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at The Wilton Mortuary in Peoria. The Rev. Ivan Brake will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before services on Friday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
