Henry G. "Red" Brewster, 64, died Saturday, November 26 at Baystate Medical Center after a brief illness. He leaves his wife of 41 years, Coleen R. (Belanger) Brewster; four children, Kevin J. Brewster and his wife Christy of W. Warren, Scott H. Brewster of Ware, Robin A. Sinclair and her husband Darryl of W. Warren and David J. Brewster and his wife Misty of Ware; and four beautiful grandchildren, Ashley, Kristopher, Gavin and Avery. He also leaves a brother, Reginald Brewster in Phoenix, AZ; a sister, Edna Brewster of Worcester and nephews and nieces. He was born in Worcester, the son of Reginald and Mary (Carpenter) Brewster. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War where he earned several medals of Honor, including the Purple Heart. Red worked for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts State Police for 28 years, currently as maintenance foreman at the Holden barracks. He was an avid Steelers fan and loved to bowl, but most of all, Red was a family man. Spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren was what he enjoyed most. The funeral will be held on Thursday, December 1st from FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 1 West Boylston St., West Boylston with a Mass at 10 AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 111 Worcester St., W. Boylston. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Visiting hours are Wednesday, November 30th from 4-8 PM in the funeral home.
